Comments: Certficate of Service and Army Orders - Joseph Henry NOTT MC and Bar.

Nott enlisted on 20 August 1914 and served with 4 Light Horse Regiment, AIF. He was one of a small number of lighthorsemen transferred to work in France after the Gallipoli campaign. He was awarded a Military Cross and bar, and the French Croix de Guerre. Nott returned to Australia on 12 December 1918.

World War 1 - Army Orders showing recipients of Gallantry Awards. One includes NOTT's Military Cross and the other includes NOTT's Bar to Military Cross.

Some tears to Army Orders but they alone are exceptionally scarce.

Joseph Henry NOTT served as a Lieutenant in the 4th Light Horse AIF.
